200 N Freedom Blvd Provo, UT 84601 (801) The 180-foot-tall courthouse — about the same height as the Utah County Convention Center — and a two-story parking terrace will be built on land traded between PEG Development and the state. The building will face Freedom Boulevard between 100 and 200 North. The terrace will be just west of the building. |
It is expected the eight-story building will be completed by fall of 2018. It will include 16 courtrooms and house the Fourth District Court, as well as the Provo and Orem juvenile courts.
The total cost for the project is $86 million. 2.97 acres Approximately 210,000 SF Courthouse Facility • Multi-level structure • 200 Stall parking structure • 18 courtrooms with future expansion to 24 courtrooms • Holding cells, prisoner transport, lobby/waiting areas, public services, clerical, sally ports, integrated security, court staff, judicial office support, and administration areas will be incorporated. • Medium level security • Proposed site of 125 North 100 West, Provo, Utah. Build on the southwest corner. • Construction budget for this project is $71,000,000 The current courthouse building will be remodeled and become the local Applied Technology College. |
