Life on Top - Apex Predators
See what it’s like to live at the top of the food chain with this display of animals as they might be found in the wild. Expansion: The new space includes a new two story atrium, new exhibit spaces, new gift shop, classrooms, exhibit preparation space, work shop and features two special exhibit halls. The Mountain Valley Stone used on the exterior of the building is found on many other BYU buildings including the Gordon B. Hinckley Alumni Building. The honed finish quartzitic stone was chosen not only because of its local history but because of it natural movement inherent in the material. A honed finished was chosen because of its ability to show off this movement. |

The Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum has a collection of 2.8 million specimens, the oldest dating back to 1900, carefully maintained and made available to research scientists and educators, with exhibits and educational programs for the public.
The museum is accredited by the American Association of Museums and maintains membership in the Natural Science Collections Alliance. |
